The Mini Page was created by Betty Debnam (UNC Class of 1952). Ms. Debnam gave her complete archive from the years she was creator and editor to the UNC Library and the financial support necessary to create this electronic archive.

While many good books receive awards, there are a lot of authors and books that do not receive a Newbery but that are still very popular. Such authors and their books include Harry Potter's author J. K. Rowling, The Babysitter's Club author, Ann M. Martin, and Ramona Quimby's creator, Beverly Cleary, and many others.
